Chiropractic is a hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on diagnosing and treating the cause of pain and dysfunction – not just the symptoms. Doctors of Chiropractic focus on the nerves, muscles, and joints of your body; making sure they are all working together properly to keep you moving. When your nervous system is compromised, pain and other symptoms can appear, and chiropractic works to restore and maintain the nervous system in its optimal state.
At Harmony Chiropractic, patients have an active role in their care from the start of their very first visit. By combining in-office treatment with at-home exercises and lifestyle advice, we will work together as a team to help your body realize it’s natural healing capabilities and get you on the way to living your best life.
The most common and “typical” technique used in chiropractic practice. Chiropractors contact a specific joint that is restricted or misaligned, and apply a high velocity, low amplitude (HVLA) thrust to the joint, restoring its motion. These are the adjustments which commonly result in a cavitation or “pop” of the joint being manipulated.
A more gentle approach to chiropractic care, this technique uses a small handheld tool to apply a small vibratory thrust to a specific joint. It achieves the same results as a manual diversified adjustment, but with significantly less force. This technique is often used on infant and elderly patients, but can be used on patients of all ages.
